Summer is here, and once again the children of Esciton are free of school and wondering why their parents won't let them go on a vacation. The heat can be almost unbearable at times, but at least the sun is always out to provide some healty Vitamin D.

The sky was littered with giant masses of gray water vapor, all ominously dark as they slowly crawled through the lukewarm air. The winds were whistling shrilly, and every now and then a growl would rumble from the clouds' depths. It seemed that any second those smoky images would start belching out raindrops. Still, despite the murky atmosphere, the temperature was seasonably high. The summer in Esciton was like a lobster pot, and even shade could not completely drown out the heat. It clung to everything still, refusing to be chased away. Nevertheless, the absence of the scorching sun provided some relief, and so the sidewalks were packed with crowds of people taking advantage of the cloudy canopy. They scuttled along happily at first, but as the heavens began to cry they suddenly scattered. Like dropped marbles, the humans began running in all directions, shouting and popping open their umbrellas. It took only about a minute or so before the pathways, which were seconds before being trampled by people, to become almost bare.
~*~
A young girl, who looked to be about sixteen years old, stepped into the restaurant to escape the wetness outside. The sudden rain was completely welcome on her behalf, but she still didn't want to be standing in it right this moment. No; she was thirsty, and needed something to drink. Her stomach was thoroughly empty, and she already felt abnormally weak. She could go for a walk in the rain after filling up her belly and reclaiming some strength.
Slowly walking up to the podium which bore the writing "PLEASE WAIT HERE TO BE SEATED", Cyan reached a slim hand into her hoodie pocket. Her fingers searched for a moment, but as they closed around a small tinfoil-like object she sighed. Good. She still had some pills left. A small smile curved onto her salmon-hued lips, and she relaxed a bit, feeling reassured. Now all that was left to do was be seated and order a drink. After that, everything would be fine, and the nauseous feeling plaguing her would disappear. "Miss? Miss? This way, please. Miss?" Cyan's crystal pools shot toward the women now standing behind the podium. The teenager hadn't even noticed the human arrive; yes, she needed her drink badly. Already her senses were dulling.
"Oh, sorry. Yeah, thanks." The girl's tunes floated into the air, and the hostess only smiled and led Cyan to her table. Once they arrived, the teenager sat down and nodded politely, and then listened as the hostess stated that a waiter would be by in a moment. As the other human left, the younger creature closed her hand tighter around the pills and waited.
'Hurry.'
The combined aroma of all the humans in this room was causing the 16-year-old to feel dizzy. Her head was already spinning, and every time she tried to focus her attention elsewhere she only inhaled the toxic fumes even more. Sometimes she hated being like this. She hated the curse of being able to smell blood so strongly; hated the never ending lust to taste the salty fluid on her lips. Cyan was good at controlling herself, but it took a lot of effort to do so. That's why when the waiter arrived, the girl quickly withdrew a $10 bill and slid it to him. "I want a strawberry smoothie, and please bring it immediately; I'm parched and need a drink pronto." The waiter eyed her suspiciously, but took the bribe money anyway and nodded, vanishing for only a couple minutes before returning with the smoothie.
It was a lovely red color speckled with strawberry seeds. Perfect. Now was the time; pulling out the small packet of pills, Cyan popped one out of the tinfoil and dropped it into her drink. It fizzed for a moment, and then disintegrated into nothing. The only evidence of its existence was the slightly-darker hue that now stained the beverage, and the completely different scent. Blood tablets. They worked wonders. Stirring the liquid with her straw, Cyan lifted the glass to her lips and drank, a smile once again pulling at her mouth as she swallowed the artificial blood. It wasn't quite as satisfying, but it was good nevertheless.
Finishing her drink, Cyan ordered the bill, payed, and stood up. Her senses were once again as sharp as they should be, and the migraine that had torn at her head minutes before had faded away. Her stomach was full, and the perfume of blood lingering around her was less of a temptation. Content, the female stepped out of the restaurant, and crossed the street to the entrance of the park.

~DONE!!!! YAY~
Golden beams shimmered slowly through dense fog, catching some droplets by surprise and setting them aglow. The dark canvas' freckles could barely shine through the humid air, struggling to stay lit. Though the silver star was full, the tallest trees covered the land like umbrellas from rain, and all was blackened. Across the loam small tents pierced the forest, leaving traces of fires just murdered. These tents, made from animal hides, were capable of holding one person, but under the circumstances, held up to three. Hanging from crude ropes were long pieces of meat, seasoned with sea salt and savory smelling herbs, set out to dry. Small rats scuttled across the floor, eating whatever scraps of bread they could find, squeaking in replies to each other. Patrolling the borders of the camp, skilled bowman made sure no one got in... or out...
*********************
Near the outskirts of the camp, a small tent sat under a pine, squirming in the bone-chilling wind. Two bodies layed on the ground, in the innards of the shelter, covered in deer hides. A female rolled onto her side slowly pulling the fur to her nose with long, slender fingers. It smelled of the forest, pine tree sap clumped around the edges, and of blood, from the hunt. Pale films opened allowing light blue-grey orbs to adjust to the dark air. She propped her torso up on her bony elbows, and turned her crown toward the other creature. lifting the sheath off her body, the fem placed it on the other being.
The cold hit immediately, sending a chain of mountains up the exposed legs of the she-creature. She shivered slightly, rubbed her hands across her legs, and stood. Her crown brushed the top of the canopy, and she quickly bent over, trying to keep quiet. The other person stirred under the sheets, and the fem froze. Turning her head toward the creature, she made sure it was still asleep, and then resumed her business. Stepping toward the door flap, she bent over to grab a small satchel. She turned it in her fingers, and inspected it. Satisfied with its condition, she picked up a few scraps of food and shoved them in the pouch. Looking around the room, she spotted the last item on her list, a moonstone. She grabbed it quickly and placed it in the bag.
Is that all I need? she thought to herself. She took one quick glance and then saw it...she looked down at herself in her thin nightgown and then back at her father's work clothes. I don't think he'll mind. I hate dresses anyway... she thought. Walking carefully, so as not to step on her father, she got the clothes, placed her tote on the floor, and pulled on the pants. They were big, too big in fact, so she rolled up the legs and hoped that the waist wouldn't fall down. Discarding her gown, she pulled the shirt onto her torso and shoved the bottom into the waist of the pants. Maybe that will help. Grabbing the satchel, she turned around and headed toward the tied down gateway to freedom. Taking one last glance, she blew a kiss to her father, and opened the door.
Stepping out into the humid air, wind brushing tendrils of long stawberryblonde hair in her face, the female turned her head from side to side, surveying the scene. Already she could see the fires from two guards positioned, to her right, a few meters from her canopy. And to her left was one more. taking in a deep breath, she waited for the guards to look away, and in a flash she ran as fast as she could to the forest ahead.
So far she had been doing good, not one branch or pine cone had been crushed. Her body weaved through the trees as skillfully as a weaver with his loom. This forest was hers, and she knew it by heart. She looked back to see if the guards had noticed her escape yet, but to early and tripped on a loose root. Hitting the ground hard, she scraped her face and hands, pain shooting up her arms from the shock. spitting dirt from her mouth, she immediately jumped up and swirled to gaze at the guard posts. They were gone, probably loading their quivers with arrows, but it was chilling all the same. The fem about-faced and sprinted toward the dark woods. The sound of several guards rung in her ears, their footsteps were jarring compared to her carefully placed steps. She heard a few loud thunks, and a few cuss words spewing from some of the more clumsy bowman. You'd think soldiers would be more careful.
She thought she had lost them, until a black quilled arrow came whizzing past her ear, slicing her cheek, and coming to rest in a large conifer in her path. She glanced back quickly to see that one man, dressed in what looked like a black cloak, had overcome the obstacles and followed her path. Zig-zagging through trees, the she-creature ran until she reached it... The clearing. Perfect She ran to the middle of the field, out of breath and heart racing, she turned to face the soldier, saluted him, and said "Thalla sai nenahk!" Her body shimmered into nothingness, and began the transportation process. Her eyes glowed a bright yellow, illuminating the forest, and the soldier froze. Raising his bow, he aimed for the girl's head, and fired, but too late. She was gone, and he was pissed.
*********************
All year the female had been waiting for this moment, stocking up her energy for the teleport. Her powers were greatest during the full moon, and all she had to do was wait. She knew this would drain all her energy, and the travel would be painful, but she didn't care. Anything she could do to get away from the slave world was fine with her.
*********************
Pain seared her mind, as she came to a not-so-graceful landing in the middle of Esciton park. No longer able to support her weight, her knees buckled and she fell to the earth. Her heart felt like it was about to explode, and her body felt like it was burning. The scene around her was damp, and rainy. Her face and hair were soaked almost immediately, and her satchel was heavy. She closed her eyes and just breathed. Hoping someone would save her from drowning...she hadn't come all this way to drown in the rain.

Drifting slowly through the sheet of liquid bombs, Cyan allowed her clothes to become sodden and her hair to become heavy with water. Her striped socks were soon wallowing in a pool of H2O hiding inside her shoes, and her jeans began to stick to her legs. Normally, any human being would be shivering their ass off right now, but once again, it was summer. Even the rain was warm. That, of course, and the fact that Cyan was no homo-sapien. She was, as story-books commonly referred to the species, a "blood sucker." Vampires had much higher cold tolerances, so much that even in snow the teenage creature rarely felt the need for a heavy coat.
Gliding onto the gravel path of the park, the animal smiled to herself. The rain was her second favorite scent, and she absolutely loved to just be in it. It seemed to wash away all her worries and drown out all her cares. With the rain streaming down her face, she could momentarily forget about how her race was spat upon and seen as nothing more than vicious beasts in this world. Honestly, a completely sane vampire had never once killed a human being. Cyan herself took great pride in knowing how little damage she caused her own victims. Two little bite marks, which would leave naught but two little scabs; that was all that the she-creature ever left behind. And those who she took blood from were always completely fine throughout the entire process. She would gently hypnotize them into a sleep, and then after taking just a small amount of liquid, leave them propped up against the wall as if they had only fallen asleep there.
They were always completely fine.
Shutting her bright blue orbs for a moment, the creature tilted her head back just slightly and inhaled a long breath. The crisp aroma of rain was definitely very strong, but hidden beneath that was something else; something very familiar. Blood. Shutters flickered open immediately, and Cyan glanced in the direction the smell was floating from. Someone was definitely bleeding, but it was most likely nothing of major importance. Plus, the femme was already full thanks to the tablet, and so did not need any more of the salty life fluid.
'Still. The smell doesn't seem to be wavering, which would imply the source is not moving.' Thoughts danced through the creature's mind, and she promptly decided to investigate the situation further. Her schedule was not busy in the slightest, and so she figured it was worth a look. Cyan had always had the odd trait of valuing life much more than she should. She hated to see anything die, and even had to thank animals, such as a cow, when she consumed them.
Setting off toward the smell at a slow run, Cyan drank in the fumes deeply. They quickly led her to what she had been seeking, and as the body arrived in view the vampire paused. Even from this distance of thirty meters or so, the teenager could tell that the cut was minor; simply a slash on the cheek. Nevertheless, the being who lay upon the floor did not look all that well, and so the red-head curiously approached it.
Kneeling down beside the figure of the other, Cyan allowed her hand to brush across the wound on its face. The blood was awfully tempting, but she resisted, settling for the small act of licking her fingertips after touching the liquid. Instantly, just from that small taste, the female knew that this was not a being from Earth. Human blood tasted much different. Glancing around to ensure this wasn't some sort of ambush, Cyan moved to prop up the head of the other by sitting down and pulling its shoulders onto her lap. With that done, Cyan hovered her own head and body over the wounded one's face to minimize the water flow.
Bluegreen pools gazed down onto the features of the other, and Cyan's lips twitched upward into a soft smile. The face she looked at was awfully pretty; almost perfect, in fact. She couldn't let it fade. "Hey," The vampire spoke quietly, moving one hand to gently prod the being's arm. "Hey, wake up. We need to get you out of the rain. You're gonna drown. " Prodding her again, Cyan continued to stare at the closed eyelids, waiting for the slightest hint of movement.

*ooc* kind short sorry
Clear liquid drops quickly grasped at the bulky clothes wrapped around the fem and took hold, soaking down to her core. The rain was a great relief from the burning sensation frying the she-creature's skin, and she took in deep breaths, trying to inhale the soothing cold. The smell was wonderful, scents of damp grass and earth. They were different from the smells of the mountains of Felle, there it was a musky and lung-clogging breath, but here, no, here it was sweet. Almost like all the flowers and grasses had joined together and begun a great dance of intrigue.
Slowly streaming down Izen's pale cheek, blood dribbled out of her recent wound. The rain refused to let the wound dry and the salty fluid constantly lept at the opportunity to free itself from the girl's body. The little bit of crimson that wasn't being washed away by the rain, passed along down below her chin and stopped at the beginning of her slender neck.
The fem's body was fragile from the teleport, her powers were great, in some sense, but if used like she had, they drain all her energy for months. Now she could hardly move, not even enough to stretch her fingers to the satchel naught a meter away. It had been thrust violently from her arms in the fall, and it's contents were now scattered across the land. Food was now sodden and a smooth grey stone sat on a lump of grass, glowing in the humid atmosphere, as if to mock the girl. It's magic radiated, calling to Izen like a lyre played by the most talented harpist in Morimei. The call was irresistible, but unable to reach it was agonizing, so the female just lay there letting the rain and smells waft around her scrawny body.
The slight crunching of pebbles echoed through the liquid's song, alerting Izen to the presence of another creature. Unable to do anything, she let her body just relax into the hard earth. Maybe they'll help me. she thought. As the being grew closer, the she-creature's breaths grew more rapid, and nervousness and fear took control of her body. The soft brush of a finger across her cut made her heart race. What are they doing? she thought. She felt her upper body being pulled onto what seemed to the creature's lap, and suddenly the rain pelting the fem's face stopped.
Shutters squinting slightly, the female listened to the soft voice coming from above. "Hey," the creature said as it poked her bicep. "Hey, wake up. We need to get you out of the rain. You're gonna drown. " Izen's lids fluttered open to see a redheaded female creature above, mere centimeters away. She was beautiful, with red lips and bright blue globes. Izen gathered what strength she had left and parted her fangs, "Help me...must...get moon...stone" she managed to sputter as her crown slumped back down and her lids imprisoned her grey orbs once again.
Feeling reassured that the being was not going to hurt her, not like the cruel slave masters back in Felle with their long whips and unfeeling masked faces, the female let her mind drift into a light sleep.

As Cyan stared down at the near-flawless complexion of the other, she noticed a small movement. The girl beneath her stirred a minuscule amount, and then gradually forced open her shutters. Two stormy gray spheres appeared, but they were only exposed to the world for but a moment. "Help me...must...get moon...stone" The other being spoke, her tones weak with fatigue, and then once again her seekers were hidden away. "Moon stone?" The lips of the vampire tasted the unfamiliar words, and her azure pools immediately began searching. Of course, the object which the other femme desired was found within seconds, laying peacefully in the muddy ground a couple feet away from the two girls.
Stretching her slim fingers toward the object, Cyan gripped the stone and brought it toward her face. This was a rock she had never before seen, and already she felt a passionate desire to add it to her collection. For a second, she held the smoky rock in her palm and debated whether she should dash off with her new possession or return it to its rightful owner. Cyan had stolen plenty of gems before, so it would be no problem to do so again.
Still, it would be different. Guilt would plague at the creature if she fled now, especially since the owner of the rock was in critical condition. Biting her lower lip, Cyan reluctantly pulled the satchel of the other toward her and dropped the stone inside. Solemn eyes watched it sit there for a moment, and then the vampire got to work. Collecting the rest of the spilled items and relocating them into the bag, the teenager stood. As she did so, she lifted the other female off her lap gently and placed her on the soggy ground once more. The wounded animal, however, did not have to stay in the dirt for long; Cyan quickly picked her up, despite the fact that the other was a good five inches taller than her, and held her close. Strength was heightened in Cyan's species, so the girl had little trouble holding the other. Not to mention, the other being was a light as a feather.
"Lets get out of the rain, shall we?" Talking more to herself than the sleeping one, the female began to walk. The bag swung back and forth from her shoulder, and her arms provided a comfortable ride to shelter. 'Now, where to take her? The warehouse?' Pools darted toward the girl in her arms, looking quite cold as she slept amongst the raindrops. 'The gang would probably welcome her. She looks like she's around our age.' Blinking, Cyan made up her mind. She'd take this creature to her gang's hideout and care for her there. It was really the only place she could think of, anyway.
Moving through the park and stepping onto the asphalt, the teenager tried to speed up her pace a bit. She was eager for the other to awake; already Cyan was formulating a series of questions. Indeed, the vampire had always been a very curious being, and she would be no different in this situation.
Dancing through the streets and alleyways, Cy reached her destination in no time. There, in front of the two, stood an old, abandoned-looking warehouse. It had been abandoned a while back, too, but now the building was used as a shelter and home for a pack of teenagers without money. The gang was a fair size, with about 10 members, and they all got along very well. In fact, the people in this gang were Cyan's family; they were the only ones she had here. Everyone in the group looked out for each other, and everyone took care of each other. It was a good system they had going on.
Marching up to the front door, Cyan kicked it a couple of times and shouted, "Hey! Open the door!" There was a short pause, and then the door slid open. A kid who looked to be about the same age as Cy stood in the entrance, his greasy brown hair all ruffled up. "Hey! It's Cyan! Don't be so loud, you'll give our location away." The boy smiled goofilly, and Cyan just shook her head and pushed him aside. She stepped into the dry building, immediately sauntered over to the couch, and stopped. "Hey, dweebs, move." Her bitter tones dripped into the air, and the three creatures who had been sitting on the couch stood up after giving her questioning looks. "What's that, Cy? Some lost kitten?" The red-head ignored the voice, and instead moved to place the wounded being on the soft surface. Keeping the bag hanging from her shoulder for safekeeping, Cyan turned around and spoke to the five or six people standing in front of her, staring at the newcomer on the couch.

Like a vortex of sound, the violent cracking of leather whips throbbed in the girl's skull. Shrill cries seemed to come from everywhere, women and children stood out the most, and their high pitched screams of pain sent a shiver up the femme's spine. She felt as though her ears were bleeding, burst from the torment and pain. Vibrations from the metal chisels hitting stone were jarring, and only made the sensations of pain worse. Loud thunks on the ground alerted her to the many lives that had been taken by the whip's masters, so many that the stone walls were damp with crimson.
Crude lanterns made sure that the female couldn't escape without gazing upon this horrid sight, and no matter how hard she tried, a strange power kept her from looking away. The tunnels of the dank mine shaft were long, seemingly endless, but the girl could see the opening. She ran to the exit, determined to leave, but the hall stretched on. Quickening her pace, Izen used her long pillars to propel her toward the fresh air and sun.
She felt as though she would never reach the end, never get out, until she fell. Into a dark trench, the fem just kept falling, forever anticipating that bone-crushing collision with rock. But the satisfaction never came, instead she was suddenly standing in a large room. It's walls lined with white everywhere, and having no windows, this was no more of a comfort than the hole. Actually, she preferred the hole better.
Right before her eyes, a figure appeared in a long black cloak, what seemed to be a mile away. It stretched its hand toward the girl, and though it was far, it somehow met her arm and brush against it. Though Izz wanted to speak, something held her cries back. The figure came close and wrapped its arms around the femme. 'I will never leave you' it said. As the hood fell from its crown, She immediately knew who it was. Her father. She tried to hug him back, but his body started to fade away. The feeling of tears rolled down her face, and she just kept running after the nearly gone body, which now floated away down the room. She stretched her arm toward him and almost grasped his cloak...
*********************
Izen jolted awake, her body quivering from her nightmare. Light grey souls peered around her new location. It was a strange sight for the femme. Never before had she seen a structure like this. Walls, with what seemed to be paper peeling off, and floors, not of dirt, but real floors. The ceilings were stained with dark patches, probably from rain, and it looked like a map to nowhere. She ran her hand along the cushion under her frame, feeling the soft material with grace. And what was this thing she was now perched on? It was soft, much better than the hard ground she was used to sleeping on. To her this mushy-thing was heavenly, and she allowed her body to sink into it. Gazing around the room, she saw someone standing next to her new-found sanctuary. The creature was tall, lean, and had red locks. Red hair? she though inquisitively. That must be her, the one who saved me.
The savior was speaking to a few other beings in front of her. Though Izen couldn't hear them, she kept watching, studying. If the female was to live in this world, she would certainly have to learn how to act in it. Letting a soft sigh escape her lips, the she-creature looked at her satchel, which was now looped around the other girl's shoulder. It looked heavy, though there wasn't much in it, but it was soaked from the rain. Its brown leather was stained from grass, and some of the rawhide stitches were coming loose.
The more Izen layed there, the more she pondered where she was. From the looks of it, these people were obviously treated better than her. And having such a luxury of the soft cot, must have meant they were wealthier too. But looking at their faces, their grimy bodies, she shot down the wealth part. Izzy also wondered, what were they exactly? They looked nothing like any Psylan she'd ever seen, and they were much too tall to be trolls. So what could they be? They look a lot like humans, but, that girl, her scent, its much too different and potent to be human. Where had she smelled that before? Of course, she wasn't from here, at least whatever had left its mark on her wasn't. The girl was not human, Izen couldn't quite tell what she was, but she knew it wasn't from this world, nor Felle.
The fem yawned, and used what little strength she had to prop herself up on her elbows. Parting her fangs, she asked the figures near her "Um...Where am I?"

i can feel you all around me. thickening the air i'm breathing. holding on to what i'm feeling. savoring this heart that's healing.
"You...found it in the park? Just like that?" A lone voice broke the sudden awkward silence, and it was soon followed by yet another tune. "Cyan, you know it's not good to bring home your prey." The girl's eyes danced to the figure of a light-haired teen, and just as she was about to say something another voice sliced into the atmosphere. "Shut up Rowan. You were a piece of prey once." Snickers and quiet laughs ensued, and with an angry remark from Rowan a barrage of words suddenly began spilling from everyone's mouth. Their argument having officially caught fire, the vampire only shook her head slowly and turned around. Light blue souls rested on the figure laying in front of her, and Cy noticed that the creature was quietly watching them. Corners of the vampire's mouth slid upward, and she moved closer to the old, worn down couch.
"Um...Where am I?" The other femme's jaws gaped open in a fairly cat-like yawn, and then she gracefully and promptly propped herself up. Upon seeing this, Cyan's smile flickered to a form slightly larger curve; the other being just had some quality that brought a grin to the vampire's face. She was just so unknowing, and at the moment, helpless and kitten-like. With that smile lighting up her features, Cy moved to sit beside the other on the sofa. "You're on Earth, hon, in a wonderful building we call our home." The girl chuckled a little bit, looking around at the run-down room for a minute before continuing. "It's not much, but it's all we have." Sure, the walls were streaked with various spilled beverages and stained by the rain, but they generally kept the elements outside. Same with the roof, though it suffered from liquid splashed out of the heavens twice as bad.
Lifting her arm and pulling the bag off of her shoulder, Cyan carefully placed it beside the other's head. Again, the tug of the desire to own the stone inside pulled at her fingertips, but once more the vampire fought it back. Her hands, which didn't want to release the bag, eventually submitted to her head and officially returned the satchel to its owner. "I rescued what I could. Your food didn't quite make it though." Once again laughing softly, the red-head tore her gaze away from the stormy pools of the blond and looked to her bickering clanmates. Cy and the others could provide a small amount of food to the newcomer even if she decided not to stay here. If she did choose to join the gang, however, she would have to earn her share of meals. Right now that information was unimportant, though. Cyan would offer the girl a ticket to the thief's life after she had built up her strength.
Flicking her line of sight back to the other's shutters, the vampire flashed a smile. "I'm Cyan, by the way. And those are the dorks I live with." Nodding her head toward the group of creatures who were still going on about bringing prey home, the teenager chuckled. "They can be a lot to handle, but I love 'em all the same."

I find it hard to live with all my choices. Its time to turn a death into those voices. Did you ever think to ask my pain. Did you ever think to ask if I'm okay.
*OOC* sorry its not wonderful, I've had writer's block for god knows how long, and I've been thinking of how to write this damn post for months......ugh....sorry i havn't posted till now....but I've been busy, and, as I said before, Writer's block of doom....but anywho...
The femme shook her head a bit, forcing a few of her strawberry-blonde hairs to fall in her eyes. She blinked a bit and yawned once again, breathing in the cool fresh air. Her eyes glimmered up to the redheads face as the others lips curled into a soft smile. Izen couldn't help thinking how drawn to her she was, curious at most. But there was some sort of quality about the girl that made her smile. Her thin purple/orange lips folded into an awkward grin. The creature before her opened her fangs and words came spilling out. "You're on Earth, hon, in a wonderful building we call our home." Earth huh? She thought. At least I'm where I tried to go this time.....thank Luna.
The other figure turned, as if looking around the building, then quickly turned back to Izen, "It's not much, but it's all we have." she said calmly. Izen looked down to her shirt and pulled her hand to the top of her head, slowly running her hands through her now matted locks. She didn't understand how the fem could think this place was 'not much', she chuckled a bit and soft silver orbs returned to focus on the redheaded savior. Izz released her hair as the other she-creature placed the brown satchel to rest on the edge of the cot. Izen watched the girls eyes as she released the bag, it was obvious that the stone had already gotten to her, she could tell by the longing in the female's eyes. "I rescued what I could. Your food didn't quite make it though." the other said as the light haired fem reached inside the bag to grasp the cold silver stone with her left paw. It was smooth in her hand, sending a soft shiver up her arm. She closed her eyes for a second, allowing the wave of energy to flow through her.
Her shutters quickly opened when the girl spoke again "I'm Cyan, by the way. And those are the dorks I live with. They can be a lot to handle, but I love 'em all the same." Izen tilted her head and thought This one really likes to talk... She smiled again, and parted her fangs. "Thank you for saving me, Cyan. I am in debt to you." she said silkily, with a slight elvish accent.
Pulling herself up from the couch, she stood. At first she was a bit dizzy, but it faded and she resumed her speech, stone still clutched in her left hand. "Let me introduce myself," she spoke softly as she bowed her head, and placed her right hand on her head, spreading her fore, middle, and ring finger over her eyebrows, with the middle digit in the center of the two thin hairy figures. This was her clan's way of introducing themselves, every clan of Psylans did it, as well as elves. "My name is Izen, I come from Felle...I'm sure you've heard of it,...... vampire" she said as her globes looked up to meet the female's.
Izen figured it out, she knew that scent. She'd been to Hellos plenty of times, she didn't know why she didn't notice before, and now that she had she grinned. It was so simple, but it must have been the fall from before that had dampened her senses. Izen had met many a Vampire, in fact, her owner had tried to sell her to a Vampire once, but the creature was more caring than he had expected.
Izen straightened her body, and reached her left hand forward to the female, opening her fist on the way. The stone began to illuminate the room, sending off blue rays of warm light. Izz was several inches taller than the other, standing at about 6' 2", and her paw came to rest in front of the femme's chest. Izen opened her jaw and asked "Would you like to hold it?"
I burned down every bridge that I found now I limit myself to a six gun quota. Played down every feeling I felt, then I bottled them up 'till the well ran over.

&&Cyan Check yes, Juliet are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk, I won't go until you come outside.
The other creature spoke, saying that she was in debt to Cyan, and the red-head only shook her head gently; she wasn't in debt at all. The vampire thought about stating this, but just as she was about to, she was distracted as the blonde stood. She was dizzy for a moment, judging on how she paused, but it was quickly that she found balance. More words dripped from the other's lips, and then she did something weird with her hand. Cyan almost wanted to laugh as she watched the strange greeting being performed in front of her, but she held herself back. Maybe it was normal where the other came from. She wasn't about to make fun of other species' customs, no matter how much she felt drawn to do so.
"My name is Izen, I come from Felle...I'm sure you've heard of it,...... vampire"
So, Izen it was, eh? The first thing Cyan thought when she heard that was that both of their names had four letters in them. It was a completely random and irrelevant thought, but it still came to mind before the fact that Izen knew she was a vampire. When that registered, the bright pools of the girl's widened. Not many could tell that she was a vampire just from looking at her. The redhead watched the blonde carefully, waiting to see if she was going to freak out and run away, but when she did nothing but stand there Cyan decided that Izen probably didn't care. It was odd, truly, how the other trusted Cyan despite her craving for blood.
Shrugging the thoughts away, the teenager instead parted her kissers and let forth a reply. "Felle? No, actually, I haven't heard of it." It was true; Cy had always guessed that there were planets other than just Helloss and Earth, but she didn't know the names of any of them. This whole different-world concept was still just registering in the vampire's mind. She'd gone 22 years thinking that Helloss was the only place that existed, but then, of course, she stumbled upon a portal.
Watching Izen curiously, Cyan was truthfully a bit startled when the other female's hand suddenly began advancing toward her. She hadn't seen the Felle creature grab the stone, and so she had no idea what she was about to do. The truth became evident, however, as soon as the fingers of the girl unlocked. A blue light began to shimmer out of her hand, and Cyan watched with interest. When Izen asked if she wanted to hold it, Cy smiled up at her and nodded. "Sure." She spoke, reaching her own hand toward the other's to take the stone.
