Summer is here, and once again the children of Esciton are free of school and wondering why their parents won't let them go on a vacation. The heat can be almost unbearable at times, but at least the sun is always out to provide some healty Vitamin D.

Basic. Full Name; Riell Erandir Súrion Nickname/s/; Ran Name Origin; "Riell" represents Erandir's birth year. All other elves born in the hundred year region titled "Riell" also have the same prefix in their name. This prefix is spoken only when announcing the elf's full title. Erandir, meaning "mouse" in the Elvish tongue, was assigned by the elders once it was realized that the young elf could not speak. Súrion (meaning "dance") is the title of Erandir's school. In. Detail. Appearance; Erandir is 183 centimeters tall - average height for an Elvish boy his age, although there is only a slim chance that Erandir will get taller. Erandir has straight, oddly-spaced teeth, brilliant white in color. His eyes are large and slanted, with muddy brown irises that are dominated by inky black pupils. His hair falls just past his shoulders, and the dark brown locks are always pulled neatly into a knot at the nape of his neck. Pointed elvish ears poke out from the sides of his head. Erandir doesn't even make an effort to conceal them, as they are obviously abnormal in a human town. Ran's skin is tanned and often smudged with dirt, as he spends most of his time outside. His face still bears a smattering of freckles and acne scars, but he knows they will fade before his 200th year. He steps lightly and gracefully, barely making impressions in the sand.
Clothes Style; Erandir is terribly picky about his attire. Elvish clothing is far less restrictive than human clothing, and the boy is still trying to get used to the buttons, belts, and buckles that adorn the human apparel to be purchased in Esciton. Ran likes simple, loose pants, preferrably in a solid, non-offensive shade. Grays, browns, and greens are best. Shoes are a frustration, as elves don't normally wear them, but Erandir finds that women's bedroom slippers are a fine substitute for Elvish woven moccasins.
Personality; Erandir, in spite of his inability to talk, is quite noisy. He hums and whistles constantly - old Elvish tunes, Esciton nursery songs, and sometimes inventions of his own. Whimsical and startlingly kind, the elf tends to get himself into all sorts of awkward positions. His smile is easy and disarming, although he can be frighteningly serious if the occasion warrants it. Erandir is also capable of obtaining limited knowledge of immediate future events, mostly weather-related. Extremely large, farther-forward events can be read clearly in the stars or earth.
Eating Habits; Beyond avoiding meat at all costs, Erandir is not at all picky about what he eats. He is willing to taste anything offered to him.

Extra Elf-related Information. - Elves age at 1/12 the human rate - that is, one elf year = twelve human years. - Every one hundred year period is given a title by a group of elves. The title of the hundred-year period in which an elf was born is placed before that elf's given name. - Elves do not live with their parents after reaching 50 years of age. - At the age of fifty, elves are chosen by various schools. They are educated at that same school until the age of about 250. - The name of an elf's school is attached after his/her given name. - For extra clarification, an elf's name is arranged like so: birth year /given name /school name
