Summer is here, and once again the children of Esciton are free of school and wondering why their parents won't let them go on a vacation. The heat can be almost unbearable at times, but at least the sun is always out to provide some healty Vitamin D.

The journey to get this place had been long - very long and very tiring. The whole Asari family, along with Felix, had caught a plane in England, flown about 11 hours to who knows where, and then had driven an additional 6 hours until they had entered the city's borders. When they had rolled up to the guarded gates, a man had greeted them with an odd smile - almost a sad one - and wished them a good time inside Esciton. His solemn words of false happiness had only been the start of the oddness, too - for example, not a single car was headed out of the city. The Asari's had driven into it without a problem, but the exiting road was barred shut and as each new car approached the guard there simply said that the road was down for maintenance and that the citizens would have to try a different route. His tone hid something, however, and Sorin found himself almost believing that there was no alternate road. That odd idea had only been pushed away, however, as the huge buildings rose before them and had stolen every speck of Rin's attention.
It had been about a week before the family had gotten completely settled in. Sorin and Felix bought their own duplex to share, and Rin's sister and parents had gotten a duplex in some other section of the neighborhood. The two boys were lucky that the rest of the Asari's hadn't moved into the other half of their duplex - they had been seriously considering it for a while. Luckily, Rin managed to convince his parents not to, and they chose a duplex a bit farther away than next-door.
Several shopping trips had taken place in that week, and it wasn't long before the duplexes were furnished and looking very homey. Sorin in particular was pleased with how his and Felix's looked. Fancy, comfortable brown couches sat in front of a fireplace and flat-screen tv in the living room, and already the two were stocked with various forms of entertainment. Dvds, satellite tv, Internet, video games - including the famous dance dance revolution and guitar hero 3 -, and board games were only a few of the items found here. There was a lot to do, so the boys were never bored for more than a second. Not to mention, the walls were adorned with pictures, many of which were of Sorin and Felix together.
It was definitely a nice place, and displayed part of the boys' uncommon wealth.
Sitting kicked-back in the couch, an unplugged electric guitar in his lap, Sorin tried to play. He'd only gotten this guitar a couple days ago, and so his skills at this point could be accurately described as horrible. He had to glance at the "How To Play Guitar" book sitting next to him each time he wanted to switch chords, and he found it unpleasantly hard to press down the strings. Guitar Hero hadn't taught this male a single thing about real guitars. Nevertheless, he tried to produce anything that sounded ok, bored out of his mind and having nothing else to do.
Felix had gone out for some reason this morning - to the store or something - and Rin had decided to stay at home. Why? He couldn't exactly remember, but that decision was being thoroughly regretted right now. The guitar hated him, the house was too empty, and the only sound that could be heard was the never-ending screech of car horns outside the window. The city had its benefits, but there were downfalls as well. Especially THIS city. In just the past week, Sorin had found out almost instantly that things were not as they should be - this town was different. Pausing his guitar-playing for a moment, the teenager leaned back farther into the couch and allowed himself to drift back to the night when they drove into Esciton.
"Well, that was weird. Why have security gates just to enter some city?" Iulia's voice filled the car, and Sorin replied without looking her way. "Who knows." The simple two words were all that left Rin's mouth, as he was currently absorbed in staring out the window. Iulia said something else, but the male didn't hear her, he just kept staring into the brightly-lit buildings, enthralled at the vastness of the city. That's when he saw it. Standing there, just a slight ways off, was someone dressed in a flowing white dress who appeared to have wings. Of course, the lad deemed this to be some sort of mirage and tried to blink it away, but when his shutters re-opened it was still there. His indigo pools remained locked on the figurine for as long as possible, but the car rounded a corner soon and the image vanished.
Sliding back into present-day, the boy slid his fingers along the neck of his guitar. He had seen the creature, but already he was doubting of its existence. Maybe the city was just playing tricks on him...that was highly possible.

Felix strolled down the street, his arms overflowing with bags, all of which were filled with various items he and Sorin would need. The two of them had gotten a lot done for their duplex and now his mind drifted to the journey that had brought him and the Asari family to Esciton. The plane ride had been spent with a book, an in-flight movie, and a large amount of cuddling with Sorin. As he turned a corner, Felix smiled at the thought of the dream that had ‘plagued’ him throughout the trip. It, along with his carsickness during long trips, led to him consuming near the complete contents of a bottle of NyQuil.
Felix hadn’t mentioned the details of his dreams to anyone. How could he? He had no idea what Sorin would do if he found out how much he loved the secret emissions from the depths of his mind. He loved how, in these dreams, he saw himself with some other guy and he loved how he felt that Sorin could walk in on them. The thrill was what had brought smiles to his face. But no one would have to know. It was his little secret, his dirty little secret.
Just the thought of his secret desire left his pace racing and with that, he increased the speed of his steps. Now, with the door in front of him, Felix contemplated how to get into their duplex without spilling the assorted goods that made up the contents of the bags. Somehow, he managed to free one of his hands and get inside. With a grin on his face, he walked up the stairs and set down the bags silently.
Felix edged toward the couch and kissed the other softly on the cheek before speaking softly, “Hey baby…Having fun with the guitar?” The question had been a rhetorical one. He knew that the other was beginning to detest the things but Felix wanted Rin to keep trying. Felix sat on the arm of the sofa and began to go over how he spent his day, “I went shopping. I got groceries and clothes and oh yeah! I got a job! Yeah, I am one of the official lifeguards at the ‘Esciton Community Swimming Pool’ but that’s nothing compared to your job at Spectrum.” Felix didn’t mind that his boyfriend would be surrounded by attractive, drunk men who would have no problems with stealing his boyfriend but after his plethora of dreams, he wasn’t one to be complaining.

Sorin had heard Felix come in and trudge up the stairs, so the voice and kiss of the other boy had been expected and eagerly awaited for. Finally, an end to the sickening boredom of solitude had arrived. A smile graced Asari's lips, and he carefully picked the guitar up off his lap and set it aside so as to not harm it. Fingers floated through the air to land on Felix's cheek, and then Rin gently returned the kiss.
"Mmm. The guitar basically sucks, but that's okay." Words floated from his kissers after he pulled himself away from Hughes, pausing for but a second before elaborating. "I have you to play with now." Grinning in that famous dark way of his, Sorin stretched forward and pulled Felix toward him in a tight hug. He loved messing around with his boyfriend. Testing reactions was definitely one of Asari's favorite games, and he refused to stop playing it with Felix. Of course, his lover never really did anything unexpected, but still. It was fun nevertheless. Allowing his hands to sneak underneath the other's shirt and then crawl back up to hold his shoulders, Sorin laughed gently. "You can't escape now. You're mine." His face moved closer to the other's neck, and in a split second Sorin was biting him.
Yeah, Sorin did that a lot. "Vampire kisses", as they were called, were something Felix received plenty of.
Having had his fun, Rin released the skin and stared at the small little indents from his teeth. They would fade soon enough; he had barely bitten hard at all. The teenager smiled, and then opened his fangs and allowed words to drip off his tongue. "And congrats on the job. It should be fun, mmm? Hot guys in swimming suits. That's pretty sexy. But yeah, you're right. Spectrum owns that pool." Corners of his mouth twitched upward, and Asari tightened his hold on Felix for a couple seconds, once again hugging him. Spectrum was full of cute boys, but Rin had lately found that his desire to be constantly kissing or flirting with someone had dulled. He had his Felix, and his Felix was all he needed.
It was strange, really. Sorin, for once, felt completely satisfied with just one person. It had been this way with Akumu for a while too, but even that wasn't quite the same. There was just something different about Hughes. Maybe it was because of the night in the dungeon. How Felix looked Sorin in the eye, and told him that he would absolutely not be another play thing. That he wouldn't accept that.
The authority in those words, followed by Felix running off and sobbing, buried itself in Sorin's heart. He listened. He obeyed. That perfect balance of dominance and submissiveness simply caught Asari in its web and refused to release him. At the time it seemed like their actions were nothing more than part of a one-night stand, but it grew. The two boys ended up winding their hearts together.
Storing that pleasant memory back in his head, Asari kissed the other's neck gently. Shutters closed and he just allowed himself to relax, all the while holding his lover tightly. He focused on the two of them there together; their bodies pressed against each other, their heartbeats pounding as one, and their breaths filling the living room with a steady rhythm. "I love you.." He whispered quietly, face still holding a content smile upon its surface.

There was no nervousness when Sorin’s mandible pressed into the flesh of his neck. It had become a common thing, but still the sensation of pain and pleasure always caught him off guard. A soft moan of pain escaped from his lips and he smiled as Sorin pulled away. He mentally noted to make sure to give Sorin some vampire kisses of his own. But now wasn’t the time; Sorin looked sweet after trying to play the guitar. There was this childish frustration that Hughes couldn’t help but love.
"And congrats on the job. It should be fun, mmm? Hot guys in swimming suits. That's pretty sexy. But yeah, you're right. Spectrum owns that pool."
A smile matching his boyfriend’s formed on his face. His lips parted and the words glided out with a coolness that was meant to stir some emotion. “Really now? Guess that means I’m going to have to find some sixteen-year-old with a cute ass and get a little friendly…” Felix had been joking but as the idea made its way through his head, he started liking it more and more. Still however, he turned away the thought and focused on the other, “You wouldn’t mind, would you?”
The concept of cheating was new to Felix. Every time he thought of how happy he was with Rin, he couldn’t think of a reason why he wanted to find someone else. Maybe it was the sense of deceitfulness or the sense of control by being with two men, who knew? As Felix lay with Sorin, he became more and more confused. Rin had stop flirting with nearly every other guy for him and yet he wanted to go out and find someone to sleep with? The resulting feeling was bittersweet. For the most part, it was repulsing how unfaithful he was thinking of being but then there was the desire to continue on with his plan.
A soft kiss brought him back and Felix watched his boyfriend’s peaceful face. Rin knew nothing about what was going through his head and at that moment, the idea of having an affair faded away and he focused of the other’s warm body and supporting arms. He heard the words, “I love you,” but didn’t respond. It didn’t feel completely real anymore and if it didn’t, he wasn’t going to say anything what-so-ever.

Felix's words floated out into the air in an almost too casual tone, but Rin simply decided to push that fact away. Instead, he looked sideways at the other boy and allowed his smile to flicker upward. "Hmm," he began, keeping his indigo seekers locked on the other, "I wouldn't mind much. I'd only kill your sixteen-year old, and then gracefully finish you off." Fangs flashed in a grin, and the male watched the other carefully. He knew his lover was only joking, but still, the idea of Felix with another boy made Sorin's insides churn. He hated simply thinking of that possibility. No; Hughes was his.
Temporarily locking those thoughts into the back of his mind, Asari instead moved to say he loved the other. When he didn't receive the phrase in return, a trickle of worry crept into the lad's head. Biting his lower lip, Sorin stared off toward the tv in front of him. 'What if he wasn't actually joking?' The thought slipped fearfully into the teen's head, and he once again glanced toward Hughes. 'No. He had to be. He'd never cheat on me. Nobody cheats on Sorin.' It was true, too; Sorin cheated, but never had any one of his partners done likewise. Asari was always the prize in a relationship, and he acted that part too. Rin had always had that "be loyal to me while I do what I want, or else I'll dump your ass" attitude. Always until now, of course. This time he didn't want to do any dumping. This time he wanted to keep his relationship loyal, but still be the prize at the same time.
Inhaling deeply, the boy turned all the way toward his lover and leaned forward, immediately pulling him into a passionate kiss. 'I'll remind him that he's mine. Just in case.' The boy kissed Felix for a moment, and then allowed his tongue to slide down the other's neck. He paused at the base, and then spoke softly. "No. You belong to me. No sixteen year olds for you." His words followed their playful sequence of leaving, but there was also a hidden threat embedded in those syllables.
Fingers crept up under his love's shirt, and Rin smiled in that dark way of his. There was no way he'd let Felix get away from him.
Come on, can you hear us now, as we rock you, shock you, drop you, and make you want it more?

A cheerful smile played on his lips for Sorin as the words rolled through his head. Asari’s tone implied that he was playing with him but for some reason, Felix heard a threat under those words. It was that threat that scared him. What if he catches me with another guy? I mean, he wouldn’t dump me just for that, would he? As cool fingers grazed his warm chest, a shudder rolled down his spine. Cobalt orbs were locked away and silently Hughes kissed the other softly on the cheek before whispering in his lover’s ear, “I love you.”
A weak smile crawled onto his face and he thought of happier days. A soft sigh escaped his lips and his arms snaked their way under his lover’s back. A new flame had been lit in his soul and his craving for flesh wasn’t limited to someone besides the male at the moment. A primal desire for sustenance raged through his veins as his heart pounded in his chest. “It’s my turn to play now…” he said softly as his arms began to pry Sorin’s shirt from his chest.
He shouldn’t have a reason to doubt me now… Tender kisses showered down upon Asari’s neck and as the shirt was thrown aside, Felix closed his eyes once again and though about the man who truly loved him. The guilt and the fear all disappeared as his tongue explored the other’s torso once again. Softly, he grazed his teeth against his lover’s flesh. Let’s hope he got the message. A tender kiss placed on the other’s stomach ended Hughes’ display and he lifted his head in triumph. “There’s more later,” he said with a wink and a smile. Quickly, he made his way from the sofa to the kitchen, “I'll see you there!”
Alone, Felix let out a soft sigh. His secret was safe. No one would have to know. Especially not Sorin.

There it was. The three words that Sorin had worried about not hearing; the short phrase that hadn't come when Asari had expected it to; that simple I love you. When the syllables trickled their way into Rin's ear, uttered in a tempting whisper, the boy couldn't help but both sigh gently in relief and tingle with excitement. He loved it when his lover whispered in his ear like that; it was a major turn-on, for sure. Smiling darkly, Sorin simply gazed at Felix, lingering on the whisper's sound for just a bit longer. Good. Felix had confirmed that he loved Sorin. Worries dripped away, and Asari tried to completely cast them away. He wouldn't let such things like fear ruin his romantic moments with Hughes.
Feeling hands slide under his shirt and around his back, Sorin tightened his own grip. The two boys were still for a second, simply hugging each other tightly, and then words began to spill from Felix's mouth. “It’s my turn to play now…" Pulling away just slightly, Sorin had just enough time to see the flicker of desire light in his lover's eyes before his vision was blocked by cloth. His shirt was lifted off of his body, and the cool breeze of the fan gently tickled the male's bare skin. So, Felix wanted him now?
Still smiling, Sorin allowed the other boy to kiss and tease him, his own mouth brushing against Felix's skin a couple of times as well. Fingers still danced lightly beneath Hughes' shirt, but Rin restrained himself from taking the cloth off. No, he had to play just a bit harder to get.
As Felix arose, promising more to come later and sending a wink in Asari's direction, Sorin just shrugged. Yeah, he shrugged. Leaning back into the plush couch, Sorin stared toward the blank tv screen and spoke in a bored tone. "Eh. I don't really feel like it tonight." This was a complete lie, but Sorin's voice masked that perfectly. He just wanted to be sure that Felix realized that he was not something to ignore.
Yeah, Sorin was an egotistic little bitch. He saw his own importance to be quite a lot, and he wanted everyone else to see it as well. Especially Felix. Felix had to realize how much of a trophy Sorin was. If Hughes was going to act in a manner that made Asari doubt his devotion in the slightest, even for just a second, Rin needed to remind him how lucky he was. It was just how Rin's mind worked. He would play hard to get and by doing so attempt to evoke sme fear in Felix. If the other did taste that fear, then everything would be fine and he wouldn't be so quick to forget Sorin's value.
Asari didn't think that he had much to worry about, but he just wanted to be sure. He didn't want to lose Felix. Not yet.

The words brought fear and doubt as they seeped into his mind. Sorin didn’t feel like it? Wasn’t Asari the guy that was always up for a night with someone? Wasn’t Felix good enough? The questions swarmed throughout his mind leaving him in a vulnerable state.
Then the questions faded as he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge; if Sorin wanted to play hard to get, Felix wouldn’t fall for it. He wasn’t Asari’s little toy and he definitely wasn’t something you kept on a leash and played with once in a while. He shouldn’t mind if I get a new boy of my own. How many lovers did he have when he was with Akumu?
“I’m going out.” Felix yelled as he checked to make sure his keys were in his pocket. He didn’t need to tell his boyfriend where he was going. They were both adults; Felix could take care of himself. His fingers slid across the wall as he walked through the living room. Nothing but silence left his lips as he walked into their bedroom to get changed. Minutes later, a shirtless Hughes came back into the living room. “Have you seen my blue shirt? The V-neck one?” His eyes moved around the room as he searched for something else, “And where the fuck are my shoes?!”
The anger he felt over the thought of losing his boyfriend had taken shape as this verbal outbreak. Now Felix would have to explain himself and his plans of simply getting were practically ruined. The youth disappeared into their bedroom once again and threw on a pinstriped black t-shirt and some chucks. He was going out tonight. And he wasn’t coming home ‘til he found himself some guy who’d give anything for a fuck.

"I'm going out." Blinking, Rin listened as Felix stated he was leaving in reply to Sorin's declaration of not wanting to play tonight. It wasn't the response that the dark-haired male expected at all. He was wanting Felix to be lured closer to him because of that, but instead it had the complete opposite effect. The other male was going to march right out of their home and leave Rin there alone. It wasn't what Asari had wanted, but the boy wasn't going to let himself crumble now. No; he had to keep himself collected. "Fine." He said, trying to sound indifferent. Fine. Felix could leave if he wanted to. He wouldn't do anything...would he?
Watching in silence as his lover walked around and tried to find suitable clothes, Sorin felt fear sinking deeper and deeper into his chest. He knew what he'd do in this situation, and it worried him that Felix might do the same. Asari had never known anyone to cheat on him, and he didn't exactly want to experience it now.
Sitting forward slightly, the male glanced at the other. He'd just come out of the room shirtless, and seeing that bare flesh made Sorin shiver slightly. He didn't want some other boy running his hands along that skin. Felix was his boyfriend, and it hurt just to think of him toying around with some other guy. Maybe playing hard to get wasn't the right choice...maybe Asari needed to go for the opposite technique and let Hughes know that he had him wrapped around his finger.
For a good five minutes Rin fought with himself and tried to decide what he should be doing in order to not lose Felix. He wrenched himself back and forth, until finally the kid just broke down and his puppy-dog side emerged. "Felix," he whispered, glancing at the other boy who was swearing about lost articles of clothing. "Felix!" Calling slightly louder this time, Rin stood up from the couch and turned to face his boyfriend, who had come out of their room fully dressed this time.
"I'm sorryyyy," He said softly, pulling the word longer and causing it to sound whiney. "I'm sorry for everythinggg. I just - I just don't want to lose you, and so I worry too much and say and do stupid things." Sniffing, the male backed up and leaned against the wall. He looked quite miserable, and as he stood there he glanced down at his hand. There, holding tightly onto his index finger, was the ring Felix had given him a few months back. Indigo pools stared at the entwined snakes, and Rin realized he'd never given Felix anything in return. That fact alone made the boy feel quite low.
Maybe Sorin was too controlling with the other boy. Felix had always been good to him, but Rin had just tried his hardest to keep him on a leash. Sighing, Sorin thought over some ideas in his head. Maybe he and Felix could go out to dinner or something? No, that was far too boring. Then..what was there that was fun? Rin closed his eyes for a moment and pictured fun. Of course, Spectrum popped into his head along with the tons of hot guys who hung out there. He could take Felix to Spectrum...and maybe even unleash him for a while. Rin didn't like the idea of his boyfriend making out with other boys, but he hated to think of what Felix would do were he alone with someone else even more. Rin could do with some jealousy for one night, and maybe making Felix jealous would retighten their bond. It was a weird plan, but it did come from Sorin's head, so it was to be expected.
"Hey...wanna go to Spectrum with me?" He finally said, his words soft.
